Junior IT First Line Support Technician

Salary: £17,000 to £21,000k depending on experience.  

Location: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire

Hours: (40 per week) Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior IT First Line Support Technician to join our busy IT team based in Letchworth. You will liaise with colleagues providing key support for the IT systems across our group so a willingness to travel between sites is a must. This position will suit you if you have a great aptitude for IT, you are enthusiastic about learning and want to grow into an essential cog within the IT team.

The Job;

  • Provide first line DMS, Microsoft, peripheral hardware, bespoke software and network support.
  • Provide support to users regarding access of resources on all supported networks and software
  • Create user environment access, profiles, directories and security rights
  • Perform network supervision and troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network issues
  • Install upgrades and configure network printing.
  • Maintain and install security patches and bespoke software on Windows file servers.
  • Provide emergency and scheduled on-site support for remote sites (including London Sites)
  • Work a shared weekend rota to provide emergency support and password resets for the group.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Whilst we value experience we are looking for the right people to help us achieve our goals, so we don’t just look at what you have done but what you are capable of doing. Full training will be provided, all you need is enthusiasm and a keen interest in IT

  • A Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Able to communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Motivated team player with a desire to learn
  • Punctual and well organised
